The Deputy Director of Innovation role is to advance the vision, strategy, and thinking methodology used to innovate new products and services and create a culture of innovation within AITS.
Main Responsibilities:
Define and implement an innovation strategy with clear objectives and measures aligned with the company goal.
Spearhead the design thinking process to understand the customer’s job to be done, ideate, prototype, and launch new products and solutions and business models.
Work closely with the different business units to identify gaps, needs, and opportunities for new innovations.
Foster an environment of creativity and continuous learning, ensuring that innovation becomes a core part of our company culture.
Engage with key internal and external stakeholders, including customers, to understand their needs and gather feedback on potential solutions.
Oversee the lifecycle of innovation projects from ideation to commercialization, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
Efficiently manage the innovation budget, ensuring optimal ROI and strategic resource allocation.
Seek out new open innovation opportunities and crowdsourcing through partnerships and alliances.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees in innovation or business management will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years in products development or innovation leadership.
Extensive understanding of emerging macro, industry, and tech trends, particularly AI, Cloud and IOT and their strategic impact on future directions.
Own a disruptive mindset; embrace change and be ready to take risks while staying creative and agile.
Understanding of customer journey management, customer experience and different customer ‘s personas.
