Rixos Qetaifan Island North
Opening in 2023, Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.
IT Specialist
Within the general guidelines given by the hotel management, this position is responsible for installing, altering, improving, and troubleshooting software systems including assisting end users with navigating the same. Identifying and analysing IT problems and needs for the waterpark, and developing applications that meet the waterpark operation needs.

What you will be doing:
- Program and write software, set up functions, enter data or process information.
- Analyse computer network issues and choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data
- Perform file backups, test and evaluate existing network systems
- Selecting or recommending applications based on user needs
- Provide applications-related training, technical support and troubleshooting assistance
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
- Maintain complete knowledge of all waterpark services/features
- Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management
- Report for duty on time wearing clean and complete uniform at all times
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management
Your experience and skills include:
- Experience with SQL, AutoCAD, and PLM software and systems
- Bachelorss Degree in computer science, engineering or information technology or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Solid system and applications problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in English language
