Rixos Qetaifan Island North
Opening in 2023, Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.
Public Relations Officer – Qatari
This role is responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with various stakeholders, representing our organization, and contributing to our public image. This role is ideal for an individual with a deep understanding of Qatari culture, and customs, and excellent communication skills.

What you will be doing:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with government entities, local community leaders, and other stakeholders in Qatar to support our business goals.
- Ensure all public relations efforts align with Qatari culture, customs, and values, respecting local traditions and sensitivities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure media coverage and manage media inquiries effectively.
- Plan and execute public events, press conferences, and community engagement initiatives in Qatar.
- Be prepared to manage and respond to crises or negative publicity, working closely with local authorities and senior management when necessary.
- Liaise with government entities and officials to ensure compliance with regulations and to support our company’s initiatives and projects.
Your experience and skills include:
- Qatari National.
- Proven experience in public relations, government relations, or a related field in Qatar.
- Excellent knowledge of Qatari culture and customs.
- Strong network and relationships with local stakeholders and media.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Crisis communication experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
