Description:
We are looking for a new Customs Documentation Executive to join our in-house team. The position is an in-office role, working with the team in Jebel Ali, Dubai, and will not be offered as a remote-working position.
The Customs Documentation Executive will take ownership of all Dubai Customs-related work and processes within Jebel Ali Ports and Customs. To perform well in this role, you should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Customs Documentation and Freight Operational knowledge. Preferably within the UAE, and must have strong background knowledge of UAE Customs.
Customs Documentation Executive Responsibilities:
Tracking and monitoring shipments status daily & update ETD/ETA to ensure on-time delivery
Maintenance of records of shipping documents to ensure passing all types of Customs for Import and Export with smooth customs clearance & delivery.
Working closely with the Freight and Logistics Operations team to create a streamlined flow of operational work in and out of the Warehouse.
Preparing Transport (Ocean/|Air/Land) documents, Invoices, Packing list, COO, and other related documents – Export, IDG, and Customs Exit/Entry Certificate, etc.
Customs clearance (E-clearance with E-Mirsal 2) and other customs services.
Overseeing all daily inbound and outbound movements and passing the customs bill, document submission, coordinating delivery schedules, and arranging customs inspection for incoming/outgoing jobs in coordination with our Freight and Logistics Operations department.
Management and troubleshooting of all customs, ports, and inspection issues.
Ensuring that all relevant shipments for import or export are cleared, related documentation is tracked and customs submission report is completed daily and submitted to the manager/supervisor.
Required Experience:
2+ years’ experience in a similar role in Freight and Logistics
Required Skills:
Good English speaking & writing skills (the Arabic language read and write preferred but not mandatory.
Competency & knowledge in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required to carry out the job
Good interpersonal skills
