Role Summary:
The Head of Purchasing is responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement activities within an organization. S/He will be involved in developing and implementing strategic purchasing plans, negotiating contracts with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Establish, control and update the purchase procedures and activities.
• Coordinate and support the activities of all members in purchasing department.
• Carry on the purchasing process (RFQ, RFQ analysis, PO and delivery control) for the main and critical activities.
• Keep in touch with suppliers (new and existing) to analyze their capabilities and products, payment conditions, price, delivery time, etc.
• Search for new suppliers trying to get the required services with better delivery time and cost.
• Receive the needs from other departments and distribute among the purchasing members.
• Supervise daily activities for RFQ, PO, deliveries, technical clarifications, offer analysis, etc.
• Ensure deliveries on time and with required quality.
• Coordinate activities related to supplier’s quality, claims, invoicing problems, delivery time, etc.
• Organize and coordinate all the logistics related to the elevators / escalators and spare parts transport.
• Support all departments to get information from suppliers (technical and economical) and products in the market.
• Manage Sub contractors and manpower supply companies.
• Manage Savings targets and budgeting.
Education and Experience:
• Technical degree with basic finance / commercial education is needed.
• Minimum five years’ of experience in purchasing on industrial companies is needed. Minimum 3 years as Head of Purchasing.
• International purchasing experience is required.
• Adhere to all safety and compliance procedures of the company.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personality Attributes:
• Excellent computer literacy
• Technical knowledge required
• Strong ability to understand drawings and technical specs
• Good Logistic knowledge ( sea / air freight + customs clearance)
• Strong Local market knowledge
• Solid judgement along with decision making skills.
• Accountability to have things done. Focus to deliver service to stakeholders.
