We are looking for an experienced Truck Driver to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving trucks to and from designated destinations while complying with all applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and experience driving large commercial trucks.
Requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience driving large commercial trucks
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to stay focused and alert while on the road for long periods of time
• Excellent knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Ability to read maps and use GPS systems
• Ability to lift heavy items when loading and unloading trucks
• Ability to work shifts as needed, including weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime as required.
Job Description:
The Truck Driver will be responsible for safely transporting goods from one destination to another while adhering to all applicable laws and regulations. They will load and unload goods at designated locations, inspect their truck before leaving the facility, maintain accurate logs of their trips, comply with customs procedures when crossing international borders, ensure the safety of their cargo by properly securing it in the truck, plan routes taking into consideration traffic patterns and weather conditions, repair minor mechanical problems on the truck when necessary, fuel the vehicle as needed, conduct pre-trip inspections prior to departure from their facility or destination and comply with company policies regarding vehicle use. They must also ensure that their vehicle is kept clean at all times including checking oil levels regularly.
