Job Title: Welfare & Logistics Coordinator/ Camp Boss
Reports to: QHSE & Welfare Manager
The Welfare & Logistic Coordinator is responsible for running and supervising the worker’s accommodation. The Worker’s Accommodation shall accommodate SNC-Lavalin project operational staff. The successful candidate shall be the focal point for all accommodations and look after all camp aspects in terms of occupant’s service, client’s & SNCL camp’s regulations. maintenance, and operations, purchasing necessary requirements and reporting all concerns to the QHSE & Welfare Manager. In addition, the position shall follow SNCL’s client’s requirements including but not limited to creation a camp committee and provide guidance and leadership to project representatives regarding all matters related to the welfare, safety and security of personnel residing within the accommodation.
Responsible and accountable for complete facilities management, arranging periodic maintenance and overall supervision of the camp accommodation, housekeeping and personnel staying in the camp.
Responsible to provide a proper furnished accommodation with all the necessary facilities that guarantee a comfortable stay for the residents which includes in ensuring the rooms are furnished with furniture and sleeping accessories (pillow, blanket and mattress) for every resident.
Ensure camp staff are maintaining a healthy condition inside the accommodation by using the right cleaning and sterilizing protocols with special attention to communal areas, dining facilities and toilet areas.
Liaise with project transport drivers and report any workers not reporting for duty or showing poor punctuality on daily basis to the concern line manager.
Liaise with landlord or facility maintenance representative to ensure a proper preventive/corrective maintenance program for both the buildings and equipment’s such as: Electric generators water pumps, firefighting system, water tanks etc.
To build and maintain effective and supportive working relationships with residents by implementing a camp committee for project representatives to discuss concerns.
Create and maintain an accommodation complaint reporting process ensuring all complaints are reviewed and resolved in a timely manner.
Maintain a room allocation register for all residents providing suitable accommodation for any new hire staff.
Maintain an updated record of all residents staying in accommodation with correct contact details.
Record and manage the stores and inventories in a proper way with respect to stocks, safety and storage conditions. Ensure accommodation rooms and assets are correctly recorded & signed for by residents and formulate a loss or damages reporting process ensuring responsibility and accountability of all company assets.
Conduct daily inspections of all common areas, washing and cooking facilities and allocated room to ensure high levels of hygiene, sanitization, and cleanliness.
Coordinate with project HSE departments to assist in implementing company health & safety policies and procedures.
Conduct periodical pest control campaigns to keep the premises free of crawling insects and rodents.
Ensure each room contains a reasonable number of beds (as per camp regulation) and accommodated with an acceptable number of workers.
Identify and record a supplier register for any required maintenance works within SNCL area of responsibility.
Liaise with landlord or facility maintenance representative for any security concerns.
Prevent and report the use of any prohibited materials such as: weapons, drugs, alcohol, pornographic materials…etc.
Ensure all areas of the accommodation is clean and free from waste, reminding all residence on using the correct waste facilities available.
Partake in a shift rota covering the site 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
To help identify methods that will offer cost savings and efficiencies.
To provide comprehensive service as detailed within the contract.
To take an active role in helping to ensure that all staff’s concerns at camp is supported within SLPGM.
To provide regular updates to the line manager.
To undertake personal training and development as required meeting the change in service needs of the department and fully utilising the onsite technical information.
To actively manage your daily routine to ensure that work tasks are completed in the most effective and efficient manner.
To actively promote and support good working practices within own area.
Ensure effective communication levels are maintained with project points of contacts.
To carry company issued mobile phone to facilitate immediate response to any emergency.
Any other such tasks and duties relevant to the post as may be determined in agreement with the management.
Aptitudes: Good communication and interpersonal skills Good written and verbal communication skills IT literate (MS Office, Android Apps)
Analytical skills (ability to carry out field test, record, chart and analyse information) Willingness and aptitude to acquire new skills
Good use of the English Language

Must be willing to travel if required.
