1. Identifies department/individual training requirements through Training Needs Analysis.
2. Based on the results of Training Needs Analysis, design and packages the hotel Annual Training Program including the preparation of course outlines, instruction materials, audio visual aids and evaluation tools; when necessary, seeks the assistance of in-house managers and other public/private institutions.
3. Sets-up the Hotel’s departmental training by training representatives from other departments to conduct on-the job training on a regular basis; close supervision and coordination to be ensured.
4. In coordination with department heads or supervisors, monitors post training performance and attitudes of participants.
5. Liaises with departments concerned on course schedules, training venues and instructional materials.
6. Conducts actual training and when necessary, secures the assistance of in-house and outside resource speakers.
7. Assists in the prepartion of HR tools such as the Performance Appraisal process, job descriptions, classified advertisements for recruitment, etc.
8. Assists in the recruitment process by preparing and implementing preliminary placement tests for jon applicants.
9. Receives and pre-screens job applications from overseas through various sources such as recruitment agencies and internet-based recruitment sites.
10. Effects revision by making additions or deletions to course content, training methods or instructional materials in accordance with the changes in operational conditions and Hotel policies.
11. Keeps abreast of new approaches, trends, techniques and concepts in hotel training and development.
12. Prepares and distributes all training and development reporting requirements.
13. Coordinates the training program of apprentices for advance management and skills courses and arrangements for further training abroad, in coordination with the Specific Council for Catering and Hospitality.
14. Ensures maintenance and cleanliness of the Hotel training office and safekeeping of audio-visual training aids.
15. Represents the hotel in professional training association and other related official functions.
16. Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the Senior Assistant Manager.
