Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree is required in a relevant field.
– Post graduate degree is desirable
– Minimum 10 years’ experience in governance and compliance preferably in the construction industry
– Experience in developing WW frameworks, policies, procedures etc.
– Corporate governance and compliance experience is a must
– Corporate social responsibility experience is preferable
– Excellent knowledge of the local, regional and international regulatory policy issues and emerging policies affecting large-scale development projects is an advantage
– Experience in the tendering process in the food industry is preferable
– Stakeholder engagement and management experience
– Knowledge of the HR Law and Labour Law in the State of Qatar
– Experience of working in the region and knowledge of local culture
– Flexible; able to work autonomously; team player; willing to work on tight timelines and pitch in when needed; positive attitude; patient; and persistent
Job Description / Role
– Develop effective compliance and enforcement mechanisms for the Workers’ Welfare Standards (WW Standards) including policies, protocols and systems for integration, enactment and enforcement (SC, QF, Hamad Hospital, QP, Milaha and any other authorities.
– Ensure effective execution of the WW Standards and their associated policies and protocols
– Responsible for the development of a monthly, Quarterly and Annual Compliance & Audit report
Responsible for any policy changes and implementation from Labour department, MOI, SC, QF, Hamad Hospital, QP, Milaha and any other authorities.
Responsible for internal audit for Non compliance
Responsible for ISO and all other statutory compliances
– Monitor compliance with WW Standards by Contractors and Subcontractors, and provide support for continual improvement and compliance by maintaining open communication with all relevant parties
– Monitor and report details of non-compliance to relevant parties within the organisation and to Contractors and agree on corrective action plans and procedures
– Ensure corrective action plans and procedures for areas of non-compliance are executed efficiently and effectively as planned
– Assist in the monthly Contractor penalty calculation process and provide recommendations

Salary: QAR12,000.00 – QAR15,000.00 per month
