eCommerce is an exciting new support function within Alshaya as the business launches transactional websites for a number of the 75+ brands and 15+ countries within the Alshaya portfolio. The function is rapidly building Alshaya’s multi-channel capability to deliver customers choice and convenience when shopping in a number of rapidly growing online emerging markets. The function is split in to 4 key areas – Trading & Merchandising, Operations & Program Management, Design & Content and Digital Marketing.
Job Profile: Responsible for the management and delivery of localized web site product and generic on site content in a timely manner to ensure new products are launched on time as required by the brand, as well as ensuring on site content is accurate and updated as required by the brand/market. Responsible for the management of translators to ensure the timely translation of site and marketing content in line with brand guidelines and tone of voice.
Key Performance Areas:
Product Range and Content Management
– Responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating product range content delivery (copy, image and rich content where applicable)
– Responsible for the reporting of product range content and visibility status to regional brand and online team
– Responsible for managing the critical path for launching new season collections to the agreed brand timelines
– Responsible for liaising with regional brand teams to prioritize product content requirements to support host brand scheduling
– Identify risks to delivery timelines and proactively problem solve or escalate as required to Content Manager.
– Maintain accurate calendars, schedules and communications documents.
– Plan and structure content in a timely manner for translation officers.
– Responsible for documentation of best practice guidelines for Local Source content to ensure consistent and high quality product information and images are provided by suppliers
– Support the Content Manager in the development of range and product content reporting / analysis tools
