Payroll Manager – Rixos Qetaifan Island North

Opening mid 2022, Rixos Doha Qetaifan will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sq m of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Slated to make its debut right before the World Cup, Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s waterpark attraction The Icon Tower, the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres in height.
Payroll Manager
This position is responsible for compiling payroll information, controlling wages, and effecting salary payments to employees.

What you will be doing:
– Keep track of overtime forms from each department and ensure that the forms are issued and approved by respective department heads / senior management
– Notify and follow up with all departments regarding attendance records before the payroll cut-off date each month
– Collect and verify payroll information from original sources such as appointment letters, overtime claim forms, and payroll allowances and deduction
– Coordinate with Talent & Culture department on matters concerning employees’ pay, allowances, deductions, etc
– Make necessary deductions from employees’ salary and payment before payday
– Compute and finalize payroll; check all computerized payroll printouts
– Take note of resigning employees and stop payment immediately upon receiving instruction
– Ensure to prepare ready with payroll on time and heartiest received the salary on time.
– Print & distribute pay slips after payroll has been approved and submitted to the bank for payment
– Prepare the final settlement for the resigned employee on completion of the last working day.
– Prepare monthly journal after each month’s payday
– Check and calculate housing allowances for foreign employees
– Perform accurate and timely submission of pension payments
– Maintain individual employees’ salary records
– Generate the monthly payroll report every month for audit purposes.
– Any other job, task, or project that may be assigned by the DOF from time to time.
Your experience and skills include:
– Minimum 2-3 years of experience handling payroll for big hotel/resort
– Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management/Business Management
– Ensure accuracy and efficiency in payroll processing and maintaining records.
– Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant accounting systems
– Excellent knowledge about Payroll Management systems (Oasys & edocs)
– Should have the luxury mindset and be result-driven.
– Strong Leadership & Interpersonal skills
– Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
– Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
