The role provides leadership to the sales team and plays a strategic role in the success of the Company. The role may entail creating budgets, developing attractive incentive plans for sales team members, and creating business expansion strategies.
He/she sets goals and targets for the sales team, evaluates qualitative and quantitative performance, thoroughly studies the strengths and weaknesses of every competitor, closely works with the Marketing Team on lead generation and branding, trains the sales team in excellent customer service, and build strong relationship with industry leaders.
Duties:
– Manages, develops, coaches, controls and motivates the sales force to develop their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales target and KPI target are met.
– Assesses the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manages the sales program accordingly.
– Ensures targets are delivered through people management, performance review, reward and individual recognition.
– Provides on-the-ground support for sales associates as they generate leads and close new deals.
– Presents sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the Management.
– Provides daily and/or monthly reports of field sales success and prepares department productivity dashboard to the Executive Board.
– Maintains sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors.
– Identifies emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
– Possesses deep knowledge of business product offering and value proposition.
– Solves problems for clients and customers by developing innovative and tailored sales solutions. Recommends products or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
– Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment.
– Assesses individual performance through observation and measurement, and suggests corrective actions as needed.
– Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in industry-related forums, etc.
– Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
– Responsible for the distribution center and retail store/showroom sales operation.
– Executes other tasks assigned by the Management.
