Job Purpose:
PaymentsCo offers country-level Identity and Payment solutions that reduce fraud, and improve operating margins and
user experience.
As a Software Engineer, you will be part of our product team, and will be instrumental in building our consumer
payments products. This role is not just about technical expertise. It is about collaboration, creativity, and the
willingness to learn and grow together in a highly ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Develop new product features as required, ensuring robustness, reliability, performance, and scaling.
Work with Operations team to ensure product can be deployed, maintained, monitored, and managed per their
requirements.
Show adeptness in identifying, understanding, and solving complex technical problems.
Active participation in design and code reviews to ensure high-quality production code.
Implement the code as per the design and specs.
Develop unit tests, and work with QA team on the development of functional, scale, and automation tests.
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational
stability of software applications and systems
Contribute to the community of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and
leading-edge technologies
Desired Skills and Experience
3+ years of development experience
Proven ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical
problems
Experience in banking transactions, payments, working with Card Networks or Banking partners preferred
Strong in Core Java and OOPs concepts preferred
Thorough understanding of Design Patterns
Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Security
Strong understanding about implementation of RESTful APIs
Strong understanding of Javascript, JQuery and HTML
Strong understanding of Data Structures and Multithreaded Programming
Strong understanding of Standard and Secure Coding practices
Strong time management and organizational skills
