The Jordan Water Efficiency and Conservation Activity (WEC) funded by USAID/Jordan and implemented by Tetra Tech ARD (http://www.tetratech.com/intdev) is currently accepting expressions of interest for qualified candidates to fill various positions. The purpose of the WEC Activity is to increase water use efficiency and conservation in Jordan by applying commercial incentives to the agriculture, industrial, and the municipal sectors and strengthening the Government of Jordan (GOJ) governance over irrigated agriculture.
Communication & Outreach Specialist – Amman
The key focus of this position is to provide a range of communications services to support the SBC & Cross Cutting team and their counterparts in the implementation of their activities. Under the direction of the SBC & Cross Cutting Manager, the Communications Specialist will provide support in creating and publishing project communications products for multiple audiences including USAID, key stakeholders, the private sector and the public. S/he will develop content for multiple platforms, campaigns, and support with SBC & outreach to public and private stakeholders in addition to publicizing WEC activities and providing crosscutting support. Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Develops WEC publication and project reports including: weekly briefing, Quarterly and Annual Reports. Write up and edit bilingual (Arabic and English) content for digital and social media platforms, websites, brochures, profiles, infographics, press releases, talking points, feature stories, presentations, and other relevant content, as needed. Transforms selected technical comments into shorter documents suitable for a general audience. Oversees the design and production of communications and outreach materials such as documentaries / movies, and other printed products. Supports in publicizing and promoting WGA activities and achievements in communications opportunities and key events while effectively collaborating with all stakeholders to help define and execute appropriate strategies to maximize positive communications and outreach for the project. Provides event management to technical teams to ensure smooth delivery of project activities and outreach efforts. Supports and coordinates with SBC & Cross Cutting Manager and technical teams to implement SBC activities with potential to provide communications training to private sector counterparts.
