Job Description

  • Defining the structure of SharePoint sites, including site collections, subsites, libraries, and lists. They decide how to organize content for optimal performance and usability.
  • Establishing governance policies to ensure compliance, security, and proper usage. This includes setting guidelines for content management, permissions, and user roles.
  • Deciding on the customization and development of SharePoint features. This might involve choosing or developing custom web parts, workflows, or integrating third-party solutions.
  • Planning and executing upgrades or migrations of SharePoint environments. They determine the best approach to update or move content and configurations with minimal disruption.
  • Implementing strategies to enhance the performance and reliability of SharePoint. This includes making decisions about server configuration, load balancing, and troubleshooting performance issues.
  • Setting up and maintaining security measures, such as user permissions, authentication methods, and data protection protocols.
  • Designing and overseeing backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure that data is protected and can be restored in case of failure or data loss.
  • Deciding on training programs for users to ensure they can effectively utilize SharePoint. They also handle complex support issues that require advanced troubleshooting.
  • Making decisions about how SharePoint will integrate with other enterprise systems, such as CRM, ERP, or email systems.
