Xpand Team is on the lookout for a passionate Junior QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. Whether you prefer working from the office fully remote or a combination of both we offer the flexibility to choose what suits you best
Your responsibilities:
- Autonomously design develop and execute tests
- Communicate with other departments on tasks
- Write technical documentation
- Register work items in a bug tracking system
- Follow quality assurance practices
- Carry out maintenance of the test environment
- Work with development and support teams to reproduce and debug complex issues
Key requirements:
- Internship or completed software testing courses
- Higher technical education or degree in Economics/Logistics
- Knowledge of the bug/task tracking methodology (for example JIRA TFS VSTS)
- Knowledge of software testing methodology and documentation principles: test cases test plans test scenarios etc.
- Understanding of the basic principles of working with database management systems (such as MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server)
- Understanding of automated software testing
- Strong desire for quality
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Upper Intermediate level of English (both speaking & writing)
It would be a plus if you have:
- At least 6 months of practical experience
- A technical and/or programming background (XML .NET UML VB C# etc.)
- Experience of working with ERP CRM or SCM systems
