Synopsis

Assist in management reporting of group financials to internal and external stakeholders within stipulated timelines, as required – includes but is not limited to actuals tracking, ad-hoc analysis, as well as accurate and reliable development of short and long-term forecast against board and internal targets
Overall management reporting of EAG performance and periodic tracking against planned targets:
. Preparation of the Group management reporting decks which includes but is not limited to Board & CFO decks, in close collaboration with Short-Term Planning Team, Finance Business Partners, Financial Reporting, Treasury, and CFO
. Provide comprehensive reports detailing actual versus budget and forecasted results, drive cost analysis and highlight key variances to targets and historical trends
. Provide historical trend analysis reviewing current performance and KPIs versus historical data
. Coordinate the current estimate process ensuring adherence to the long-term objective of EAG
. Recommend and track benchmarks for measuring financial and operating performance
. Provide requisite support to the development and presentation of the annual budgeting process, in-year rolling forecasts, and 5-year plan when required
. Assist and coordinate Current Estimate process ensuring adherence to the long-term objective of EAG
. Actively participate and provide insight to support Performance Committee discussions and analysis
. Prepare ad-hoc analysis on restructuring scenarios and impact on cashflows
. Work closely with Finance Business Partners, Financial Reporting and Treasury to identify areas of process improvement
. Assist in set-up of Finance Data Warehouse (FDW) for EAG with an objective to be agile in producing outputs to senior management

Accountabilities

. Assist in identifying key assumptions, risks and estimates in budgets, management reports and long-term planning
. Set up system & templates to provide reports detailing actual versus budget and forecasted results which includes clear and concise variance explanations
. Highlight risks and opportunities in business proposals to assist management in evaluating impact on business challenge assumptions, propose revisions and suggest alternative options
. Accountability for the accuracy of forecasts and leveraging sound understanding of business models and financial drivers to challenge and influence the key cost drivers
. Ensure internal control and compliance with all Group policies and procedures and assist internal audit for ad-hoc requests on data sharing for owned processes
. Initiate changes to improve working practices and processes in Finance to optimize delivery of business and financial mandates
. Requires working with VPs, HODs, Senior Managers on a regular basis, particularly with Finance Business Partners, Financial Reporting, Treasury, Corporate Strategy and other stakeholders as and when required
. Support and contribute to the future finance roadmap to incorporate Long Term Planning and consolidation at EAG level in desired planning tool system, appending to Finance Data Warehouse (FDW)

Education & Experience

. Must have at least a Master’s Degree in Business/Finance and a professional qualification such as CA, CIMA, MBA or ACCA
. Minimum of 3 years of work experience with at least 1 year in accounting, finance, budgeting and/or forecasting (preferred 3 years airline experience)
. Ability to interpret financial statements and working knowledge of GAAP requirements
. Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
. Rigorous and analytical thinking
. Proficient in building and managing large excel models and system tools
. Ability to make decisions and recommendations based on data and analysis as well as maintain confidentiality
. Ability to apply governance, risk and compliance components
. Advanced communication skills – English (verbal and writing) fluency in Arabic is an advantage
