Job Title: Network Engineer
Job Location:Bahrain
This position supports a US Military customer and may have a 24 x 7 support requirement which could include an Extended Workweek (EWW) or Shift Work during other than normal duty hours.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform network design and evaluation, circuit planning, and network operations support to ensure the availability of a theater network
Function as a key advisor to staff organizations tasked to manage the network
Provide critical RF and IP network engineering knowledge of all connectivity into and out of a theater, to include, reach back connectivity to Regional Hub Nodes and redistribution of services (RF, IP, and Fiber) within the theater
Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve network outages
Provide oversight of the satellite transmission plans, bandwidth usage and optimization, and IP network configurations as necessary to ensure the best possible service to the end customer
Conducting systems testing (e.g. Noise Figure Measurements, Phase Noise), technical guidance, network setup with routers, switches, and IP accelerators, VoIP, VoIP switched infrastructure, Call Manager configuration, system troubleshooting, establishing efficient procedures to resolve trouble tickets, and coordinating the deployment of software release and equipment training
Provide functions involving one or more of the following network assets:

JWICS
BICES
CPOF
CENTCOM Partner Networks
Wireless LAN
Provide functions to support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of variety of routing and switching protocols, network management tools, and services. These may include but are not limited to:
Routing protocols: BGP, BGP VPNv4, EIGRP OSPF, ISIS, RIP, MPLS and VRF) and Multicast protocols (PIM, MSDP and MBGP)
DMVPN technologies (NHRP phase 3, per tunnel QOS, IKE, IPSEC, EZVPN and site-to- site VPN)
IP services (WCCP, AAA, QOS, IP SLA, EEM, Syslog, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP and NTP)
Network management tools and protocols (TDMA, NetFlow, SNMP, Cisco Works, SNMPc, ACS, ASDM and CSM)
Job Requirements:
7 years of operational experience
Experience in writing technical documentation and doing amendments
Familiar with the feature sets and capability enhancements installed on the core router’s required to complete circuit connectivity and critical to maintenance of the theater network
Knowledge and understanding of existing circuit routing and voice capabilities in theater that are required to ensure that not only Voice over the SIPR (VOSIP), but all service connectivity is maintained
Knowledge to installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the RF/satellite, IP network, and fiber distribution systems. functions that includes designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and diagnosing of network infrastructure and its application components for CJTF, ARCENT, and collation partner networks
Knowledge of the functions involving administration and maintenance of following sample hardware list
o ASR, Nexus, 7200s, 3900s, 3800s, 6500s, 4500s, 3700s, 3500s, ASAs, and Netscreens
Knowledge but not limited to services, systems and applications:
o O&M of GEM-X servers
o Administration of ACS/TACACS servers, user accounts, and administrator accounts at RNOSC-A level and below
o CiscoWorks Network Configuration Management (CWNCW) administration
o IP management, validation, and identification and resolution of IP conflicts
o Creation of network health reports for Tier 1, 1.2, and 1.3 devices
o Administration of Tier 1.2/1.3 devices
o O&M of Route Explorer
o Application of CCNP level skills with CCIE knowledge (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and DMVPN/NHRP)
o TACLANE
o TACACS/ACS
o CWNCM
o Route Explorer/Packet Design
