EGEC QATAR Looking for Structural Engineer at Doha, Qatar Full Time

Job Summary: Structural/Civil engineer is responsible for supervising a range of projects from conception through to completion, to ensure that project will be delivered on time as per the contract. The role will supervise the work of Site engineer, inspectors and other disciplines as needed. Duties & Responsibilities, (include but not limited to): – Analyze building drawings to ensure they are accurate and feasible. – Supervise and maintain construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner. – Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other) – Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications – Assess potential risks, materials and costs. – Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies – Recommend and evaluate procedures and practices to improve operational efficiency and for alternatives to enhance performance (including outsourcing services). – Handle over the resulting structures and services for use – Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials – Attend & Lead project review meetings to evaluate progress of on-going construction or maintenance activities. – Liaise with internal/external Project Manager to understand the implications of their design/construction of their project in relation to maintenance and on-going operation. – Lead research and bench marking activities against accepted best practice standards in relation to maintenance planning. – Ensure relevant operations and maintenance related design requirements are included in contracts as appropriate. – Co-operate with Safety and QA/QC. – Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required. – Report technically and financially regarding planning and overall progress of approved plans. – Develop and responsible for final review of maintenance plans. – Evaluate the issues raised by the Jr. Engineers & provide solutions for the same – Review/study the Engineering works. – Provide the support and cooperation in regards to the Quality department requirements and Audits. – Provide the support and cooperation in regards to the Business development & tenders management activities when requested. – Qualified professional who can manage and coordinate specialised activity, discipline or team of moderate size and complexity – Leads in the formulation of advanced technical concepts. Or, – Provides specialist services in support of project requirements. Independentl performs highly complex professional assignments demanding contributions calling for the application of specialised principles. Education & Experience: – Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering – UPDA Grade A – 12+ years of experience, min. 7 years in similar field – Holding Qatari Driving License – Locally based candidates on a Transferable visa Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Application Question(s): Can you join immediately?How much is your current salary ?How much is your expected salary ?Do you have a driver’s license?
