Job Description
JOB CONTEXT
The Regional Office Finance Department has a regional responsibility particularly with respect to investment review, strategic portfolio management, project financing and corporate compliance. There is a focus on the Africa, and Middle East regions for the direct implementation of new project investments.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support Regional and Group Finance team in MIS, Reporting, Analyses and Presentations
- Apply standardizations and roll out specific finance initiatives
- Provide periodic reports and data as required by both internal and external stakeholders
- Support budgeting and budgetary controls
- Review and ensure timely delivery of various reports to lenders and other external stakeholders by the business units
- Capex – evaluate the proposals, budget, analyses and control
- Support Business development projects in the region
- Support timely procurement and payments complying with Company Policy & Procedures on purchase matters
- Support revenue enhancement and cost control initiatives in the Business units
- Support Business Units in Accounting, Audit, Reporting, Finance systems, processes and controls
- Monitor Debtors and Cash management of business units and advise remedial action where required
- Provide support in commercial decisions like pricing, incentive, discounts… etc
- Ensuring compliance with DP World policies and procedures
- Manage specific ad hoc finance projects and come with the finding
- Performs other related duties as assigned related to the job function
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- CA/CPA/MBA with 5 to 8 years experience, preferably in Ports and Logistics.
- Expert knowledge in Financial Analysis & Modeling, Accounting, Financial & Capex Planning and Reporting
- Knowledge in setting up Finance systems, processes and controls, Reporting, Budgeting, Accounting and Audit
- Knowledge in ERP systems (preferably Oracle Fusion)
- Arabic, Portuguese and French knowledge, though not necessary for the job, will be an added advantage.
