Job Discription
I. Purpose
The Restaurant Receptionist will be the first point of contact for guests, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This role involves managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements.
II. Responsibilities
A. Guest Reception
Greet guests warmly as they arrive and ensure they feel welcome.
Manage guest reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
B. Communication
Answer and direct phone calls, take reservations, and handle inquiries about the restaurant.
Provide information to guests about menu items, specials, and restaurant services.
C. Coordination
Coordinate with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure timely seating and service.
Handle guest requests and accommodate special needs or preferences.
III. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in hospitality or customer service preferred.
Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in F&B industry. Should have 2 or 3 years of experience.
Proficiency in reservation management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
IV. Skills
Strong customer service skills to provide a welcoming environment for guests.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and manage time effectively.
Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate reservations and seating arrangements.
Ability to handle guest inquiries and issues with professionalism and resolve them effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively with the restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations.
